Android beta Get 2P Chess on Google Play early

The app is in a closed test on Google Play and needs testers. It is free, plays offline (same device, the computer and puzzles), and you can leave any time. Two taps with your Google account:

In step 1 click Join group (we never email you). In step 2 tap Become a tester, then install 2P Chess from Google Play on your Android phone or tablet. Keep it for two weeks and tell us what to improve: [email protected].

Play chess with a friend in 10 seconds

  1. Create a game. Pick a colour and a clock, or leave the clock off for a relaxed game.
  2. Send the code. Your friend types the 4 letters on 2pchess.com, opens the link, or scans the QR code.
  3. Play. Moves show up on both screens straight away. Offer a draw, resign or ask for a rematch at any time.

Sitting together? Switch to Same device and pass the phone, tablet or laptop between moves. Turn on Flip board each move so each player sees the board from their side.

Questions

Do we need an account?

No. Nobody signs up, logs in or gives an email. The game code is all you need, and it expires a day after the last move.

Can we play on two different devices?

Yes. One player creates a game and sends the code or link; the other opens it on any phone, tablet or computer with a browser. It works across Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Is there a clock?

You choose: no clock, 1 minute, 3 + 2, 5 + 3, 10 minutes or 15 + 10 (the second number is seconds added after each move). Clocks start after both players have made their first move.

What if my friend cannot join?

Check the code (it is 4 letters, no zeros or O). If it still fails, create a new game. Codes stay valid for a day.

Can I play alone?

Yes: play the computer at 8 levels, or try the chess puzzles.
